Team Lindell 

Lindell Motorsports prepares and transports the racecar and is run by Lars Lindell. Lars was born in Stockholm, Sweden where he began racing karts before proceeding to rally cars and sports sedans at a national level. After arriving in the U.S. in 1984, Lars worked with IMSA GTU and GTP American Heritage Racing, sponsored by Budweiser. He’s worked on various types of cars, including S2000, Formula Ford and Toyota Atlantic. Setting up his own Spec Racer program in 1989, and based in Mundelein, IL, Lars sought to provide his drivers with a close-knit, professional atmosphere at the track. Team Lindell drivers compete with confidence in their cars and mechanics, and reap the benefits from Lars’ years of experience.

The SCCA Spec Racer Ford is a rear-engined, fiberglass-bodied sports racer. It has a locked-in design, which keeps the initial price and operating costs very low. Spec racing puts the emphasis on driving skill rather than technological tweaking by using sealed engines, shaved street radial tires, and a total prohibition on any modifications.
